Today, we are all under some kind of pressure and stress, wondering if we will manage to do everything that we have planned. Most of us have a long “to do” list while our “wish list” is waiting for better days... But when we do fantasize about our time off and our vacations, we think about perfect vacation with our loved ones, away from the crowds, problems, unfinished projects, deadlines ... We fantasize about all the places where we could go on a romantic holiday for two, or a vacation with our family or friends.
Uskoplje is a small village in Konavle with only 6 houses, away from the hustle and bustle, yet close to famous destinations Dubrovnik and Cavtat.
How does a day look like in Uskoplje? In the morning, when you wake up, you can hear birds singing, when you look out the window, you can enjoy the view of the Konavle Valley and the sea. The Dubrovnik airport is on your palm, and yet no noise, just serenity... and your perfect day has just started.
You come down to the terrace for coffee or tea, and breakfast, where you are welcomed by either Mr. Milan (Šinja), who lives a few houses away and is very cheerful or by Sandra who lives in Mihanići and is very kind and helpful. You can also see neighbor Marko, who passes by every morning on his way to his hearth where he dries figs, and keeps his homemade wine, grappa and olive oil. Ms. Karolina and Mr. Franc are our next door neighbors, and you will also see them every day while watering the vegetables in their garden just next to our restaurant, and their son Josip (Jojo) is the one who will print your own daily papers – if you wish so. He will also give you a lift to Cavtat and back to the hotel at the time which is the most suitable for you.
Perhaps you could enjoy while reading or while sunbathing with your partner. Maybe you might play with your children by the pool, or you might treat yourself with a massage.
You might decide to explore Konavle; places such as Čilipi, Pridvorje, Gruda, Molunat which will represent the culture and heritage of Croatian southernmost County, which borders which borders with Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
You might like to go to Cavtat for a walk, which is only 5 minutes away, maybe even go to Dubrovnik, a walk through the historic town.
You could perhaps decide to go on one of the daily excursions which we offer.
